Introduction 

The following pages contain general information about any enrolment with New Energy Training Pty Ltd.   It also provides potential students with the description of the behaviour expected while undertaking training with New Energy Training Pty Ltd. 

It applies to use of the organisation’s resources, education and support services, behaviour while in class, undertaking on-line activities, or any other academic activity associated with the organisation. 

Please read this information carefully so you have a full understanding of what you are enrolling in. 

Firstly we are a Registered Training Organisation (RTO).    RTO Number 45919.   The courses we deliver are nationally recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework. 

Any training which is not part of the Australian Qualifications Framework such as short in house professional development is clearly identified as such. 

  • You are enrolling in units of competency from the renewable energy field or HLTPAT005, Collect Specimens for drugs of abuse testing.
  • On successful completion of your training you will be issued with a Statement of Attainment for the unit(s) you have successfully completed.
  • Prior to enrolment we will require a Driving License and Medicare Card for proof of identity and proof of Australian citizenship.

Training Support

If for any reason you are unable to complete your workbook or have difficulty with some of the questions and are assessed as not competent in any specific area, then additional training will be provided for you. We encourage you to speak to your Trainer if you are having issues. 

We are happy to provide one on one tuition and counselling where you are having difficulties understanding the training, understanding spoken or written English due to English being your second language, or other numeracy and literacy issues. While we can provide individual assistance and support, we cannot provide comprehensive literacy and numeracy rectification training.

Where a student is simply unable to cope with the training due to literacy and numeracy issues, we will provide advice in respect to additional training in this area or refer you to a local TAFE for a suitable training course to improve your literacy and numeracy skills. 

Student Code of Conduct

At all times students are expected to: 

  • Act in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct.
  • Comply with all Commonwealth, State and Territory legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Read and comply with the organisation’s policies and procedures.
  • Meet all course requirements to the best of their abilities relevant to the education and training undertaken with the organisation, which may include regular attendance and engagement in learning, academic activities, and meeting the course assessment timelines.
  • Treat all staff and students with courtesy, respect, and dignity.
  • Avoid interfering, or disrupting any training, teaching, learning, assessment, or any other academic activity of the organisation.
  • Use all learning and support resources and facilities, including IT resources in a manner that does not impede learning, or the learning of other students.
  • Conduct themselves in a professional manner whilst undertaking vocational placement or other forms of industry related training and assessment activities.
  • Ensure that the organisation’s reputation is not adversely affected.
  • Comply with all reasonable directions given by the RTO’s staff and trainers/assessors.

Refund Policy

  1. The full fee payable for this course are clearly identified prior to enrolment.
  2. Full payment of the course fee is to be made on enrolment and prior to commencement.
  3. This requirement may be waived by prior arrangement with certain companies on the issue of a Purchase Order.
  4. New Energy Training Pty Ltd will refund 100% of any deposit less a $50.00 administration fee for any withdrawal by a student prior to commencement of a training course.
  5. No refund will be made of fees paid in advance if a student withdraws from a training programme once training has commenced.
  6. Training is considered to have commenced once the student has submitted the enrolment form, made payment and has accessed the E Skilled Learning platform containing the training material.
  7. In certain circumstance instead of withdrawing from a course, students may defer their training until a later date. This option needs to be discussed and agreed to by New Energy Training Pty Ltd. We will try and find a solution where possible.
  8. Should a student be unable to complete a course due to illness then arrangements will be made for that student to complete their training later at no additional cost.
  9. If a training course is cancelled, for whatever reason, by New Energy Training Pty Ltd then 100% of fees paid in advance will be refunded.
  10. ASQA Guidelines, require that when fees exceed $1500.00, New Energy Training Pty Ltd is only able to accept up to $1500 of the total course fee in prepayment prior to commencement.

Why we collect your personal information 

As a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), we collect your personal information so we can process and manage your enrolment in a vocational education and training (VET) course with us.

How we use your personal information 

We use your personal information to enable us to deliver VET courses to you, and otherwise, as needed, to comply with our obligations as an RTO.

How we disclose your personal information 

We are required by law (under the National Vocational Education and Training Regulator Act 2011 (Cth) (NVETR Act)) to disclose the personal information we collect about you to the National VET Data Collection kept by the National Centre for Vocational Education Research Ltd (NCVER). The NCVER is responsible for collecting, managing, analysing and communicating research and statistics about the Australian VET sector.

We are also authorised by law (under the NVETR Act) to disclose your personal information to the relevant state or territory training authority.

How NCVER and other bodies handle your personal information 

NCVER will collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information in accordance with the law, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (Privacy Act) and the NVETR Act. Your personal information may be used and disclosed by NCVER for purposes that include populating authenticated VET transcripts; administration of VET; facilitation of statistics and research relating to education, including surveys and data linkage; and understanding the VET market.

NCVER is authorised to disclose information to the Australian Government Department of Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR), Commonwealth authorities, state and territory authorities (other than registered training organisations) that deal with matters relating to VET and VET regulators for the purposes of those bodies, including to enable:

  • administration of VET, including program administration, regulation, monitoring and evaluation
  • facilitation of statistics and research relating to education, including surveys and data linkage
  • understanding how the VET market operates, for policy, workforce planning and consumer information.

NCVER may also disclose personal information to persons engaged by NCVER to conduct research on NCVER’s behalf.

NCVER does not intend to disclose your personal information to any overseas recipients.

DEWR is authorised by law, including the Privacy Act and the NVETR Act, to collect, use and disclose your personal information to fulfil specified functions and activities. Role of Supply Partners Pty Ltd 

New Energy Training  Pty Ltd has a Third Party Agreement with Supply Partners Pty Ltd to deliver this training through New Energy Training  Pty Ltd. 

Supply Partners Pty Ltd is a leading wholesaler with extensive experience in the renewable energy field.   They have recently developed a training arm and have employed highly experienced personnel to deliver the training.   All trainers delivering the training are required to be approved by New Energy Training prior to being authorised to train. 

By signing your enrolment you are acknowledging that you understand that training will be delivered by Supply Partners Pty Ltd and that further your personal details as disclosed in your enrolment form will be shared with Supply Partners Pty Ltd for the purposes as outlined in the Privacy Statement. 

Surveys 

You may receive a student survey which may be run by a government department or an NCVER employee, agent, third-party contractor or another authorised agency. Please note you may opt out of the survey at the time of being contacted.

Complaint or appeals against assessment procedures 

New Energy Training  Pty Ltd has a complaints policy to manage and respond to allegations involving the conduct of: 

  • The RTO, its trainers, assessors or other staff
  • A third party providing services on the RTO’s behalf, its trainers , assessors or other staff
  • A learner of the RTO

The RTO has an appeals policy to manage requests for a review of decisions, including assessment decisions, made by the RTO or a third party providing services on the RTO’s behalf . 

Any complaint or appeals regarding assessment should in the first instance be raised with your Trainer/Assessor.      In the event you are unable to do this, or the matter is not resolved email us at vic@vcmtraining.com.au. 

Our policy is available free of charge on request. 

All complaints will be acknowledged in writing. 

Student Visa

Unfortunately, if you are in Australia on a Student Visa, we are unable to offer you training. To offer training to Student Visa holders an RTO must hold CRICOS registration.     We do not hold CRICOS Registration and are unable to offer training to overseas students visiting Australia on a Student Visa.

Unique Student Identifier (USI) 

From 1 January 2015, we, New Energy Training  Pty Ltd, can be prevented from issuing you with a nationally recognised VET qualification or statement of attainment when you complete your course if you do not have a Unique Student Identifier (USI). In addition, we are required to include your USI in the data we submit to NCVER. If you have not yet obtained a USI, you can apply for it directly at

You may already have a USI if you have done any nationally recognised training, which could include training at work, completing a first aid course or RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) course, getting a white card, or studying at a TAFE or training organisation. It is important that you try to find out whether you already have a USI before attempting to create a new one. You should not have more than one USI.
