Enrolment Information

Thank you for your enquiry with New Energy Training. We are a Registered Training Organisation (RTO 45919), delivering nationally recognised and non-accredited training aligned with the Australian Qualifications Framework, with a focus on renewable energy.

Please review the following information carefully before enrolling.

Eligibility for Install Courses
To enrol in any install-related training (e.g. Battery Install), you must hold a current electrical licence. This is a mandatory requirement due to the practical nature of the course. While non-electricians are welcome to enrol in design-only training, installation components are restricted to licensed electricians.

Prerequisite Units
Some course units may require you to complete specific prerequisites before you begin. These are clearly listed in the brochure. To confirm requirements, you can also visit training.gov.au and enter the unit code for further detail.

SAA Accreditation Pathways
If you’re aiming for accreditation with Solar Accreditation Australia (SAA), please visit their website to ensure the course you’ve selected meets their accreditation pathway requirements. For installation accreditation, SAA generally requires completion of certain design units first. Keep in mind that while some superseded units may still meet SAA’s needs, they may not be accepted for Nationally Recognised Training. We recommend discussing this with us before proceeding with enrolment:

Course Duration and Delivery
Nominal hours are outlined in the brochure to help you estimate the time commitment. Most training is delivered through self-paced online theory, followed by in-person practical assessment at one of our training centres. These are not short classroom-based courses – they require substantial online learning before attending the face-to-face assessment.
