New Energy Training is moving its Grid-Connected PV and Battery courses to Energy Space, a learning platform selected to better support the way our students learn.
From August 2026, online training for these courses will be delivered through Energy Space.
You will still complete your required online learning before attending practical training, where applicable. The difference is a platform that is easier to navigate and better suited to learning around work commitments.
What Is Energy Space?
Energy Space is the new online learning platform for New Energy Training’s Grid-Connected PV and Battery courses.
It will host the online theory, learning materials and assessments for relevant Design, Install Only and Design and Install pathways.
The learning model stays familiar. You complete the required online work first, then attend practical training where it forms part of your course.
Why Are We Changing Platforms?
Student feedback played a big part in this decision.
Over the past 12 months, students told us they wanted a learning experience that was simpler to navigate and easier to manage around jobs, family and day-to-day commitments.
We reviewed that feedback, considered the available options and selected Energy Space.
This is more than moving the same material into a new system. It is part of our work to improve the online learning experience while keeping training relevant and grounded in the renewable energy industry.

Course materials have been developed with real electrical work in mind, helping connect online theory with the decisions, standards and situations electricians face in the field.
How Will Online Learning Work?
For relevant Grid-Connected PV and Battery courses, students complete self-paced online learning before attending practical training.
This helps everyone arrive with the required theory in place. Practical time can then focus on hands-on skills, assessment, troubleshooting and applying the learning to realistic installation scenarios.
From August 2026, this online learning will take place through Energy Space.
Will My Training Outcome Change?
No. Students who complete nationally recognised units will continue to receive the relevant Statement of Attainment.
Training may also support an application for accreditation with Solar Accreditation Australia, subject to eligibility, prerequisites and Solar Accreditation Australia’s current requirements.
